Examine the following website, then answer the following: In your opinion, which, in order, are the three most important events in the lead up to revolution, and why?
I think that the Proclamation of 1763 was a major event that lead up to the revolution because it basically limits the colonies from expanding at all. Along with the Proclamation of 1763, the Quartering Acts were a major event that lead to the revolution becauase it forced the colonists to house British troops, even thought they were fighting them! On top of these things, in April of 1775 when Governor Gage is ordered to enforce the coercive acts and suppress all open rebellion against the colonists, this seems like it would piss off the colonists pretty well because it limits their rights. All three of these things limit the colonists in some way, which could cause a build up of tension and eventually cause the revolution.
